Safe Entry and Work in a Confined Space
Course matrix:

Minimum 4 delegates (cost per course)
Duration: 1 Day
This course is based on the confined space Regulations 1997 and is a must for anyone undertaking work in a confined space.
The course covers:
- Potential hazards and specific risks in a confined space
- Gas testing and monitoring
- PPE including escape breathing apparatus
- Safe systems of work which includes risk awareness assessments, method statement and permit to work
- Emergency arrangements
There is both theory and practical assessments.
Fire Awareness/Extinguisher Training
Course matrix:

Duration: 3-4 Hours
Candidates will be instructed in basic fire prevention and extinguishing methods. They will use a fire extinguisher on a live fire.
Fire Warden/Marshall Training
Course matrix:
Maximum 12 delegates (cost per course)
Duration: 4 Hours
This course is an extension of the Fire Awareness/Extinguisher Training with the introductIon to the roles and responsibilities of the Fire Warden/Marshall and fire safety legislation. The legislation being the REGULATORY REFORM (FIRE SAFETY) ORDER 2005.
Emergency First Aid in the Workplace (formally Appointed Persons)

Duration: 1 Day
The Health and Safety (first aid) Regulations 1981 state the minimum first aid provision in any workplace is:
- A suitably stocked first aid box
- An appointed person to take charge of first aid arrangements
This course, not only focusses on the above, but also delivers an insight into emergency first aid. Each candidate will be taught ho to take charge of a situation should an employee or customer be injured or become ill on the premises. This course includes recognition and treatment of the following;
- Heart attack
- Angina
- Wounds and bleed/fractures
- Unconsciousness (including the recovery position)
- CPR (CardioPulmonary Resuscitation)
- Epilepsy/seizures/stroke
- Shock
- Burns
It is important to remember a risk assessment should be carried out by a competent person along with guidelines introduced by the HSE to determine whether full first aiders are required at your place of work.
First Aid at Work (Initial)

First Aid at Work (Refresher/Re-qualification)

Duration: 2 Days
Manual Handling
Course matrix:
Maximum 12 delegates
Duration: 3 Hours
This course is a new way at looking how various loads are transported around the workplace and off-site focussing on the individual and why the basic principles of kinetic handling are not usually adhered to.
Also incorporated into the course are extracts from the Manual Handling Regulations 1992 and the Employers/Employees obligations on a daily basis.
Abrasive Wheels
Course matrix:

Duration: 3 Hours
To instruct candidates to select, inspect and fit grinding and cutting wheels. Both theory and practical assessments.
Articulated Rough Terrain Compact Loader
Course matrix:
Maximum 4 delegates
Duration: 1-4 Days depending on experience
To undertake this course the operators must hold a valid Safety Awareness Certificate.
This course covers the legal requirement for operators, the need for the daily pre-shift inspection and how to conduct one, identifying major components and teaches the recommended operating procedures for the machines as per the manufacturers recommendations. It includes both theoretical knowledge and practical skills tests.
